Review by hotel critic
Kastara Resort in Ubud is a hidden gem nestled in the jungle, offering a truly immersive experience. the view from the pool overlooking the lush greenery is absolutely breathtaking, providing a sense of tranquility and relaxation from the moment you arrive. the staff's warm hospitality and eagerness to assist with any request create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort. the rooms are modern and clean, with a spacious shower adding a luxurious touch to the accommodation. I had the pleasure of participating in a cooking lesson with Chef Ketut Sutrawan, where I not only enjoyed delicious Balinese cuisine but also learned about the local culinary traditions. the restaurant on-site serves fresh and tasty food, contributing to a delightful dining experience. Exploring the resort grounds reveals stunning rice fields, temples, and a local market, allowing guests to immerse themselves in Ubud's cultural richness. the proximity to the city center is convenient for those looking to venture out and discover more of what Ubud has to offer. the spa services are top-notch, providing a rejuvenating experience after a long journey. Although I stayed in a Royal Suite with a private pool, there were certain aspects that fell short of expectations. the room size and amenities did not justify the high cost, and the limited options for breakfast left something to be desired. However, the unparalleled jungle view and attentive staff made up for these shortcomings, ensuring a pleasant stay overall. In conclusion, Kastara Resort is a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat in Ubud. With its picturesque surroundings, attentive service, and cultural experiences, this resort offers a unique blend of relaxation and exploration for a memorable stay in Bali.
